This Grouse Mountain wedding was filled with laughter, emotion, and unforgettable moments from start to finish. Parastoo and Moh planned a beautiful celebration surrounded by their family and friends high above North Vancouver, creating a wedding day that felt both elegant and incredibly fun.

From the moment I arrived, the energy was contagious. There was excitement in the air, family members catching up, friends sharing laughs, and everyone eagerly waiting to celebrate the couple. With breathtaking mountain views, beautiful summer weather, and a day packed with meaningful moments, it was the perfect setting for a wedding.

A Beautiful Start to the Day

The day began with getting ready photos alongside Parastoo, her bridesmaids, and family. The atmosphere felt relaxed and joyful, with everyone helping one another while sharing stories and excitement for the day ahead.

One of my favourite moments happened before the ceremony during their first look and private vows. Away from the guests and the excitement of the day, Parastoo and Moh took a few quiet moments together to exchange personal vows.

These are often some of the most meaningful moments of a wedding day. It gives couples a chance to slow down, take everything in, and simply enjoy being together before the celebrations begin.

The emotion, smiles, and genuine connection between them made this part of the day incredibly special to photograph.

A Celebration Full of Persian Culture

One of the highlights of the day was experiencing the incredible energy that came from celebrating alongside their Persian family and friends.

The entire wedding felt vibrant, welcoming, and full of life. From the ceremony through the reception, there was an undeniable sense of joy that carried throughout the day.

As the evening unfolded, the dance floor quickly became the center of attention. Family members, friends, and guests filled the room with laughter, music, and endless dancing.

The celebration felt less like a formal wedding and more like one big family gathering where everyone was genuinely happy to be together.

Those are always some of my favourite weddings to photograph because the emotions are real, the moments happen naturally, and the energy is impossible to fake.

An Adventure to the Top of the Mountain

One of the most memorable parts of the day happened when we headed to the top of Grouse Mountain for their couple portraits.

We made our way up using the open air gondola, which was an experience all on its own. Between the fresh mountain air, incredible scenery, and excitement of the wedding day, it felt like a little adventure before returning to the celebration.

Once we reached the top, we were rewarded with some of the most beautiful views North Vancouver has to offer.

The mountain backdrop created the perfect setting for romantic portraits. With endless views stretching into the distance, every direction offered another beautiful location for photographs.

These portraits ended up being some of my favourite images from the entire wedding day.

There is something special about stepping away from the reception for a few moments and giving couples a chance to simply enjoy being together while creating images that they will look back on for years to come.

Sunset Portraits to End the Day

As the evening continued, we were fortunate enough to capture a few more portraits during sunset.

The soft mountain light combined with the incredible scenery created a magical atmosphere. The way Parastoo and Moh looked at each other, completely present in the moment, made these photographs feel even more meaningful.

These quiet moments often become some of the most treasured memories from a wedding day.

With the celebrations continuing below and the mountains surrounding us, it felt like the perfect way to pause and appreciate everything that had happened throughout the day.

The reception was filled with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, endless dancing, and so much laughter.

Guests celebrated late into the evening, and every part of the reception reflected the love and support surrounding Parastoo and Moh.

Throughout the day, my goal was to make everything feel easy and stress free while documenting the real moments as they naturally unfolded.
